Not so Ollin Tonatiuh PART 2

Part 2 is finally here!! Sorry for making you wait so long for it, but I’ve had a lot of stuff going on this week and I wanted to make the comic look pretty, so there you go!

We finally get to see Tonatiuh work the atlatl as well, a side to him which I have not really shown in as much detail as I would like to. At the end of the day, Tonatiuh is also a warrior, even if he may appear to be a sorry little baby-faced softy. Itztlacoliuhqui, while being the god of ice and frost and all things cold and wintery, was also the god of blindfolded justice, punishment and human misery... It was said that while he was still the morning star, he became sick of Tonatiuh’s ‘arrogance’ and fired an arrow at him, to which he missed and Tonatiuh swiftly sent one back, actually hitting him on the head and turning him to stone... thus we see his transformation into the god of coldness, a fact which he will never let go or forgive him more... He is in other words, Tonatiuh’s arch enemy...!


Tonatiuh: Ghnn... You have to understand. I’m not strong enough to move the sun!! There, I said it. I am weak – A worthless in valid, but you chose me. You insisted that I would be the sun, therefore I must ask you, if you even have a heart, give it to me for humanity...

Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli: Such arrogance!!! Of course you can move the sun! The nerve to play craftily on our guilt, you despicable creature!
Xolotl: Nanahuatzin did not just dare suggest?!

Itztlacoliuhqui/Tlahuizca: Another year serving as Tonatiuh; why it feels like only yesterday when you had me genuinely feeling sorry for the crippled mess you once were... Power got to your head, did it? But you won’t listen to my corrective warning... No, I get it fired back at my face. Little Nanahuatzin – would only ever harm himself they said... Taste my icing; I won’t ever forgive what you did to me...
Tonatiuh: B-B-But I really do need those sacrifices!!
